Steven Lucchino
Railroad & Transit Project Manager
Steven leads some of the industry’s most challenging train control improvement projects. Steven has more than 20 years of experience designing and integrating Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) systems for critical light rail, automated people mover, and subway control systems. In addition to managing client infrastructure projects, Steven oversees software development at Burns’ Center of Excellence for Railroad Systems, an incubator of innovative technology solutions for train signals, controls, communications, and rail electrification systems.
Professional Highlights
- Manages development of tools for Positive Train Control at Burns’ Center of Excellence for Railroad Systems, including radio coverage analysis, block control line automation, and other technology innovations
- Oversaw the design, development and deployment of automated people mover CBTC applications at seven of the world’s ten busiest airports
- Developed CBTC solution for Sao Paulo Line 15, the first mass transit monorail in South America
