The communications segment includes fiber optic and cellular networking, a 220MHz radio system, and GPS tracking. As part of this project, track interlockings and switches will be improved or replaced to complement the capabilities of the new signal system. These improvements will significantly enhance service quality and provide a safer, more reliable, and easier to maintain operation.
