The new terminal consists of an airport terminal, three concourses, and two parking garages and is a state-of-the-art facility. The $1 billion North Terminal contains thirty-five gates with growth potential into the forties, electronic systems that facilitate the passenger experience, and brings a new gateway to the City of New Orleans for the millions of passengers that visit every year.
As part of the Crescent City Aviation Team, a joint venture of Atkins and Leo A Daly, Burns was the engineer of record for the technology and security systems for Concourse A and provided construction support services for the entire program, which consists of 972,000 sf of new terminal building.
