Burns provides consulting engineering services for the Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD), supporting critical capital improvements and expansion projects.
South Florida’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport serves more than 30 million commercial airline travelers and private flight operators, ranking among the 20 busiest airports in the country.
Burns supports Saltz Michelson Architects on an on-call building design contract, providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing (M/E/P) design services. The Saltz Michelson team is one of three firms approved by BCAD to deliver a range of building improvement services. Burns’ recent projects include:
- Terminal 1 chilled water system infrastructure assessment, evaluating the chiller plant, cooling tower, and chilled water piping configurations
- Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 Building Safety Inspection Program, electrical safety reports
- Terminal 3 air handling unit replacements, quality assurance services
