Buns looks forward to supporting Seattle City Light (SCL) fulfill their ambitious grid modernization strategy.

The first electric utility to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, SCL continues their forward-looking role providing reliable, sustainable, resilient and equitable power for the City of Seattle.

In preparation for large-scale electrification of the city’s transportation sector — from transit agency buses and ferries to commercial fleets and personal electric vehicles — SCL plans to bolster the utility-owned grid through a combination of distributed energy resources.

Burns qualified to serve as a consultant on a variety of planning, program design, load forecasting, technology evaluation, contractor assessment, and engineering services.
