Burns welcomes the addition of Zero-Emission Mobility National Practice Leader John Drayton, PMP.
John has overseen generational advances in vehicle technologies for several of the country’s largest bus fleet operators. He brings a 30-year track record guiding transit agencies throughout the financial, logistical and infrastructure challenges that accompany fleet transitions.
“As more fleet operators replace aging vehicles with zero-emission alternatives, detailed planning studies will become essential to ensure the transition remains affordable, scalable, resilient, and future proofed,” John said. “By developing a carefully executed capital strategy, we can help fleet operators redefine their future.”
“Market adoption of battery-electric and fuel-cell electric vehicles continue to accelerate at rates faster than most industry analysts ever dreamed possible,” said Vice President of Facilities and Infrastructure Michael Walton, PE. “John’s leadership and experience will be incredibly valuable as more clients across multiple industries take the leap toward electrification.”
John will be a leader in Burns’ expanding portfolio of vehicle electrification consulting projects. Clients currently transitioning to zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) fleets include the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), New Jersey Transit (NJT), Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, and multiple utility and airport clients.
