May Elkhattab, PE Honored Among Transit Industry’s Emerging Leaders

Burns celebrates Mass Transit Magazine’s selection of May Elkhattab, PE, PMP, DBIA as a 40 Under 40 honoree.
May excels at leading complex, high-visibility rail and transit projects. Her specialties include integration of critical rail technology systems as well as the design and construction of resilient rail communications.
For the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), May’s recent projects include supporting the 100,000-square-foot Potomac Yard Metrorail station, Yellow Line steel liner and bridge rehabilitation, a $165-million fiber-optic system overhaul, and electrical distribution upgrades across nine Metrorail stations.
