Burns celebrates the opening of Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport’s Terminal D-West Pier.
The new concourse adds six gates and 160,000 square feet to Terminal D, nearly doubling the terminal’s capacity. The project involved an overall refresh of Terminal D, refurbishing of Terminal C, and updates to a connecting passenger walkway.
Burns is supporting Fentress Architects, serving as the project’s prime technology and security engineering consultants.
The Terminal D expansion within the Mickey Leland International Terminal is one part of a Houston Airport System $1.46-billion terminal redevelopment program.
