Burns is developing electrification strategies for one of the world’s largest airlines. Focusing on seven major travel hubs, Burns is guiding the company’s transition to 100-percent electric Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Burns is undertaking electrification roadmaps for the airline’s operations at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Denver International Airport, Houston Intercontinental Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, and Washington Dulles International Airport, among others.
Each strategy evaluates power capacity and future infrastructure necessary to achieve the airline’s decarbonization goals, align with regional carbon-reduction mandates, and prepare for the emergence of Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
Customized transition strategies take into account local policies, available incentives, and the operational and sustainability plans relevant for each airport.
