Burns Supports LA Metro Bus Fleet Transition

Burns will contribute to an ambitious program transitioning California’s largest transit agency to a zero-emission bus (ZEB) fleet.
Burns is proud to support the AECOM-led Future Fleet and Facilities consulting team, providing Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) with ZEB program management services. The team is anticipated to provide a wide range of advisory, design and engineering consulting expertise, spanning vehicle procurement, bus facility design, and program implementation.
California’s public transit agencies are required to transition to 100-percent ZEB fleets by 2040. LA Metro is replacing the agency’s fleet of more than 2,000 buses and completing infrastructure-readiness upgrades across 13 operating bus divisions.
